Valentines Break Ideas

Whether you are thinking of Paris, Rome or New York there are plenty of locations you can head this valentines day if you are looking to go abroad.

With February 14th being in a Sunday this year it means that more people will head away for the weekend.  The usual lower Sunday night hotel prices may be increased but there are still plenty of destinations to look out for and you don’t have to spend as much as you think.

Paris
The traditional valentines destination. Paris is only 2hrs 20mins away and Eurostar are currently offering return train journeys for around £99 for the weekend.

Rome
There are a number of airline flying there including Ryanair, Monarch, Vueling – worth a look.  We were seeing return flights for as little as £150 departing London Gatwick on Friday 12th and returning on Monday 15th Feb.

New York
Fancy going further afield and spending more money (and a little more time), then New York would be fantastic.  Virgin Atlantic are offering return flights from as little as £490pp.  We found flights toa and from LaGuardia from London Heathrow, departing on 12th and returning on 19th February for £246pp/each way – but be quick as these offers will go.
