How to get the best price on a Eurostar seat
The Eurostar is more popular than ever and with more destinations being added it will grow more and more in popularity.
You can get a return Eurostar ticket from London to Paris, Lille or Brussels for just £69. A return fare to Bruges usually starts at £79.
If you want to travel further afield by train then you can link up with other trains at these destinations to go on to Avignon, Marseille, Rotterdam or Amsterdam for just £99 return. These can be booked on the Eurostar website at the same time.
Single fares are available and start at around £35. However you need to book about a month in advance to get these prices.
The Eurostar deals pages are very good and you will be able to see for any given date if there are any £69-£99 fares left.
Check the dates too, as usual if you are looking for a weekend break then there will be more availability for Thursday departures compared with Friday and likewise a Monday return will be cheaper than Sunday.
Remember, if you place on travelling more than once then there are two Eurostar loyalty programmes that are worth looking at. Eurostar Plus Points – where you receive £20 off your next trip for every £300 you spend and Eurostar Frequent Traveller which offers rewards including access to business lounges, fast-track check in and deals at various hotels.
