Turkey to abolish visa for UK travellers

As of 2nd March 2020 UK passport holders will no longer need a visa to enter Turkey for their holidays.

British nationals who are travelling for tourism or business purposes will no longer need a visa to enter Turkey for visits of up to 90 days within a 180-day period.

This is a saving of around £110 for a family of four, given the visa charges for those with a British passport is $35 per person.

Great news for those travelling to the country, in addition the Turkish Lira exchange rate has been fairly stable for sometime now.

It will be interesting to see how the tourism numbers are affected by this visa change as a cheap last minute holiday no longer has the often forgotten visa charge added on.
