King’s Day (Koningsdag) – 26th April 2014

King’s day, Kingsday or Koningsdag is one of the national holidays in the Netherlands.  Its a day when the Dutch celebrate the birthday of the King of the Netherlands.

The colour orange is everywhere!  Everywhere in the city you’ll see orange banners, orange food, drink and people dressed in Orange!
